ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ : ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਸਾਰੇਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਭਵ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਣ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਫਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਾਜ ਮੰਤਰੀਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਰਾਜ ਚਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਹੀ। ਡਾ. ਮਨਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਅਦ ਚਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ ਵੱਖ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਹਨ । ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਈ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਿਉਂਜੋ ਹੁਣ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਕੀ ਬਚੇਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਪਹਿਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੈਪਾਲ ਰੈਡੀ, ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼ੀਲਾ ਦੀਕਸ਼ਤ, ਉਪ ਰਾਜਪਾਲਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਖੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਮੰਡਲ ਖੇਡ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੁਰੇਸ਼ਕਲਮਾਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਲਮਾਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਡੇ ਲਾਇਨ ਲਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਆਸ ਅਰਾਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰ ਗਰਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆਹੈ। ਚਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਵੱਜੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਇਸਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ। ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਨਾ ਲੈਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਧਮਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਹਾਦਸਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਜਾਣ ’ਤੇ ਚਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਤ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਵੱਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਕੁੱਝ ਠੀਕ ਠਾਕ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
