Truck removed from beneath bridge

AUBURN — The truck that got wedged beneath a bridge at Rochdate and Leicester streets has been removed. Traffic was detoured for much of the day.

The 53-foot trailer was filled with beer. The cargo was off-loaded to another truck.

The truck, owned by Schneider National trucking, was headed to Atlas Distributing on Southbridge Street. The trailer was higher than the posted bridge height of 12 feet, 6 inches.

The accident occurred about 11 a.m.
