Fresno resident named Parminder Singh (Ruby) body found in burning big rig near California City
On October 12, 2009 at 8:42 AM the California Highway Patrol received calls of a large truck and trailer on fire eastbound State Route 58 west of California City Blvd.
The investigation into this incident is being conducted by the California City Police Department.
Emergency personnel from the California City Fire Department, Kern County Fire Department, Edwards Airforce Base Fire Department, Hall Ambulance and Caltrans responded to the scene.
The California Highway Patrol said they discovered a body inside a burning truck early Monday morning.Around 8:42 a.m.The truck was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.During the time the flames were being extinguished, a lone occupant was located in the burning vehicle, the CHP reported.The cause of the fire is under investigation.The fire and resulting investigation caused the eastbound lanes of State Route 58 to be closed from 8:50 a.m. until 1 p.m., when one lane of eastbound State Route 58 was reopened.The remaining freeway lane was reopened at 2:45 p.m.
